“Project-Based Learning Essentials” is a collection of real projects designed and taught in public schools, curated intentionally for other educators to use in the development of their own PBL curricula. We intend for each PBL Essentials Kit to be a customizable package of curriculum resources, designed for a wide variety of educators to adapt to their own contexts.

Each PBL Essentials Kit focuses on one real project and its core practices. The teachers who created these kits created videos, audio, and printable resources from math- and literacy-rich projects, aligned to what they have identified as the essential core practices of the project—these are the things an educator does not want to leave out when adapting curriculum for their own school or classroom. We hope that you adapt these projects to different timelines, grade levels, or other design constraints.
